The essentials of taking great pictures with any kind of camera
SNAPSHOTS

Want to take better pictures, but not sure where to start? My beginner's photography course is perfect for you, covering the essentials of composition, lighting and how to make the very best of your subject. There’s no techie jargon at all here, just practical and accessible learning, and you don’t even need a full camera to get plenty out of the day, as many of the skills you’ll learn here can be used with your smartphone camera too.
The purpose of this beginner's photography course is to give you confidence in your ability to take pictures. When you see a shot, you should understand how to capture it effectively - not to mention quickly, before the moment is gone. Throughout this photography course, you’ll learn that you don’t need to spend ages changing settings and testing different combinations of dials and buttons. What’s more relevant is that you understand the relationships they have with each other, and (most important of all) how you can use them quickly and easily to improve your images.
A combination of theory and hands-on shooting, in an unhurried and helpful learning environment, means you’ll really get to grips with what your camera can do. As the day progresses - punctuated by morning coffee and a delicious buffet lunch, all included in the price - you’ll find that your comfort zone has expanded and you’re more daring in the kinds of pictures you create.
The day also includes an introduction to the powerful image-editing program Adobe Lightroom, which allows you to bring out the very best in your work. You don't need a degree in Computer Science to understand Lightroom, and you'll discover simple ways to realise the potential in your images.
Taking pictures on auto mode is all very well, but this beginner’s photography course will show you that you’re capable of so much more!
