On holiday, on a business trip, or just on the school run... if you’re paying attention, you’ll see statues, buildings and architectural details everywhere, simply begging to be photographed. Creating those images, though, is a different matter, so this half-day practical photography course will show you the best way to turn all those half-glimpsed monuments and carvings into compelling images.
You’ll discover that statues aren’t drab chunks of stone and metal - they’re the best models in the world. They’re always perfectly posed, they won’t move, and they never blink, so you’ve got all the time in the world to capture them from the perfect angle!
When it comes to photographing buildings, meanwhile, the best approach isn’t “stand back and get the whole thing in the shot”. You’ll learn ways to make the most of architectural details, to maximise the dramatic potential of shape, lighting, composition and perspective.
By the end of this inspiring hands-on photography course you’ll have a deep understanding of how statues and buildings make fascinating subjects for your imagery - it’s the perfect way to see the world in a new way.
Course timings are 9.30am to approx 1pm
